We are seeking a Reporting Engineer to join our dynamic Data Team and drive the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internally-facing reporting solutions. You will be responsible for creating secure, accurate, and scalable reporting systems that empower internal customers to leverage our data platform effectively. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will translate business requirements into technical specifications and help modernize legacy reporting systems using cutting-edge tools like Power BI and Tableau. This customer-facing role requires strong technical expertise combined with empathetic communication skills to deliver high-quality data reporting solutions that support business growth and decision-making.

Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for reports and dashboards Solution Development: Design, build, and maintain high-quality data reporting solutions, data warehouses, and self-service reporting platforms Legacy System Migration: Convert legacy reports (SSRS, Crystal Reports, Business Objects) to modern platforms like Power BI and Tableau Query Development: Create ad hoc queries and custom reports to support business requests and analytical needs System Support: Ensure availability, performance, and security compliance of reporting solutions while troubleshooting issues Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering and Operations teams on release cycles and infrastructure optimization User Training & Support: Provide technical assistance, training, and mentorship to team members and business users Requirements
Proficiency in creating and maintaining paginated reports (SSRS) and pixel-perfect reports (Crystal Reports) Experience with dashboard visualizations and interactive reporting tools Strong knowledge of relational reporting databases and schema design Advanced SQL scripting and stored procedure development Understanding of software engineering and database best practices Technical documentation and data flow diagram creation Agile and Scrum methodology experience Strong and empathetic communication abilities Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, collaborative environments Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated sense of urgency Self-directed work capability with moderate to low supervision Ownership mentality with ability to see projects through from conception to completion
