We are looking for a Semi Senior / Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us enhance the performance, reliability, and security of our cloud infrastructure. You will be working primarily with AWS services, optimizing and supporting systems in production, and driving improvements in monitoring, compliance, and automation.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work with infrastructure, is curious about new technologies, and wants to have a real impact in how we scale and optimize our systems.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize AWS compute instances (EC2, ECS) and tune services like NGINX, PHP, and Linux for better performance.
  • Manage and enhance our infrastructure stack across AWS: EC2, Aurora/RDS, ElastiCache (Valkey), S3, EFS, ECS/ECR, Lambda, CloudFront, VPC.
  • Improve usage of monitoring, logging, and compliance tools: CloudWatch, Config, Inspector, Systems Manager, IAM, Organizations.
  • Research, test, and implement new technologies and tools (e.g. FrankenPHP, Caddy, compiled PHP apps) to increase performance and reliability.
  • Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using IaC tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Identify and implement performance enhancements, including right-sizing, autoscaling, and use of serverless or alternative compute models.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of new AWS features and services (e.g., Control Tower).
  • Collaborate with development teams to support DevOps best practices and security/compliance initiatives.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, S3, VPC, ECS, Lambda, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of Linux-based systems and performance tuning (NGINX, PHP, system-level configuration).
  • Experience with scripting (e.g., Shell, Python, or similar) and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and compliance tools (CloudWatch, AWS Config, Systems Manager, Inspector).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Comfortable researching, testing, and integrating new technologies.
  • Advanced English and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Experience with modern web server stacks like FrankenPHP, Caddy, compiled PHP apps.
  • Familiarity with serverless architectures and auto-scaling strategies.
  • Knowledge of AWS Control Tower or interest in implementing governance frameworks.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools and pipelines.
